SaffronStays Suvarna Sangam is an offbeat weekend getaway in Udupi, situated on a 4-acre river island with the Suvarna River on three sides, flanked by tall coconut trees. It is a 90-minute drive from Mangalore Airport and 25-minutes (6 km) away from Udupi Railway Station.
The estate is a cluster of 4 river-facing rooms that are lovingly named Shambhavi, Sharavathi, Netravathi and Vedavathi based on the names of the 4 rivers that flow in confluence. There is an average distance of 100 meters between the 2 villas yet together, they have a cohesive warm, homely vibe.
As you walk into this estate, the beautiful homes roofed with Mangalore tiles, traditional interiors and a breathtaking view of the Suvarna River captivate you.
Villa 2 (First floor): Shambhavi, situated on the first floor is one of the premium rooms, with an ensuite bathroom that can comfortably accommodate up to 3 guests. With comfy interiors, the room overlooks the breathtaking Suvarna River.

Suvarna Sangam (Vedavathi) & Suvarna Sangam (Netravathi) are situated on the ground floor of the home. Vedavathi is a stand-alone 1-bedroom cottage located 50 m across Nethravathi.
Experience a truly romantic candlelight dinner on the private deck that offers spectacular views of the backwaters. If you're lucky, you may come across a fisherman and could ask for the catch of the day!
Make the most of your stay here by exploring the Suvarna backwaters in the owner's private speedboat (Irena - Goddess of Peace) at an additional cost.
The pristine Malpe and Kaup beaches, known for scuba diving and water sports, are very close to home. Known for their unusual formation, St. Mary's Islands is only an hour away from the home. Only 20 minutes drive from the villa, is the Shri Krishna Mutt Temple in Udupi
