Vinilia Wine Resort is a stylishly elegant retreat in a historical mansion surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, located in the countryside of Manduria (TA), in the heart of the northern Salento area in Apulia. Manduria is famous for the Primitivo wine and is located in the Murge area in the province of Taranto, not far from the Ionian coast, and is equidistant from Taranto, Brindisi and Lecce.
Vinilia is a restored mansion dating back to the early 1900s and built for the aristocratic Manduria family called Schiavoni. The structure is similar to a manor house with a tower and turrets, battlements and decorations of monumental proportions with the main building looking like a small medieval castle. The property was later bought by the Lacaita /Parisi family who completely restored it, saving it from ruin.
Vinilia wine Resort has 18 rooms and suites. Many of the rooms feature the typical “Salento star vault” and all are finely appointed and furnished with great attention to detail. Some overlook a large terrace, others the spacious outdoor courtyard, and are all equipped with the comforts of a modern luxury hotel: satellite TV, internet wi-fi, air-conditioning, mini bar, large bathrooms with showers, courtesy set. All bathrooms are spacious and equipped with large shower, but do not include a bidet.
Outside areas are ideal for reading or listening to music in the shadow of the trees and the quiet of the countryside, perfect to enjoy beautiful sunrises and unforgettable sunsets in total relaxation and privacy.
The Casamatta restaurant, awarded 1 Michelin Star and Green Michelin Star, offers excellent cuisine closely linked to regional traditions and is entrusted to the culinary creativity of Chef Pietro Penna.
