Africa Safari Serengeti Kusini is located in the southern Serengeti National Park, in the corridor of the famous wildebeest migration, offering sightings of all the wildlife you would expect from the Serengeti. The Kusini Plains captivate tourists with its expansive savannahs and rich wildlife diversity. Here, the spectacle of millions of
wildebeests and zebras in rhythmic migration unfolds against a golden grasslands backdrop. Beyond the migratory herds, the area hosts an array of resident wildlife, including lions, giraffes, buffalo, and elephants.
The nearby Kusini airstrip provides easy access to the camp. Being strategically located where the annual wildebeest migration begins, travellers utilizing the airstrip may be lucky enough to witness the migration from a unique perspective. The Kusini Crater is not an actual volcanic crater, but rather a circular-shaped grassland surrounded by a forest of acacias. Offering dramatic vistas and lush vegetation, it serves as a haven where diverse wildlife congregates around watering holes visible from the ‘crater's’ rim.
When travelling between Kusini and Ndutu, there is the opportunity to discover the Hidden Valley, a depression and water catchment area teeming with wildlife during the green season. This region, known for its predatory action, often witnesses large clans of spotted hyenas
wallowing in the muddy shores.
