Amidst the splendour and might of Dhauladhar stands the Taragarh Palace. Situated in the Kangra Valley, Taragarh Palace, Himachal Pradesh at a height of 1000 Metres and 60 KMs away from Dharamshala Airport, the palace is a haven for the lovers of peace and tranquility of nature. The palace offers majestic surroundings of Dhauladhar, lush green forests and tea gardens.
Built as a Summer Resort by the Royal family of Jammu and Kashmir in 1951 and developed as a Heritage Hotel in 1971, the palace is now owned and managed by Mr. G P Acharya and family who are keen to run it as a Heritage Hotel after acquiring it from the Royal Family.’
