Neemrana's Three Waters
House Nos. 7 & 8, Postawaddo, Betul, South Goa, 403723 Cavelossim, India
Visão geral
Neemrana’s Three Waters, a lovely villa in south Goa, is all about its river, the sea, and a healing spring. It’s also about a pristine beach to which only the fisherfolk have access. You can take your boat and cut-off from the whole world. Three Waters has seven units with views of the river, the sea or the pool within its palm-filled court. Other windows open on a tropical forest of coastal trees.
Come to the junction where the earth ends – and the water begins. Come where Neemrana’s Three Waters gives you the river, the sea and a healing spring. Driving through colourful fishermen’s homes you arrive at the ‘last resort’ where Betul village still doesn’t allow mechanised fishing. Cross the ‘Y’ on the sea to the best sandy beach Goa knows. This is where Goa meets the present but still lives slow.
Quench your thirst for travel and surprise. Wake up in a ‘museo-tel’ with a veritable museum display of 9000 rare shells at this villa in south goa, corals and fossils as you dine at the Sea Horse, an intimate restaurant overlooking the water. At this junction of the past and present, each of the nine rooms honours one variety of the shell family. Walk out and watch the fisherfolk weave baskets and nets, knot ropes from coconut hemp or carve canoes from tree trunks. Experience first catching and then smoking or grilling your own fish. Climb to discover the ruins of the small Betul Fort with a canon, the only one Shivaji commissioned at the mouth of the Sal River to tax the incoming ships. Or venture out further to the Hindu fort Cabo de Rama from where you enjoy the best views of Goa.
